Services Team

Chris Gorry - CEO

Chris has 30 years of experience in the IT Industry with 20 of those years as CEO. He was the founder and CEO of Avand, a major player in document and information management for Local Government in Australia and New Zealand, before its sale to Technology One in 2007. Avand became successful because Chris saw the opportunity for imaging and integrated document management systems before it became a norm.

Over the past 8 years, Chris has operated a successful IT Consulting Business with a major focus on mining solutions and assisting companies transform and grow their business. Through this work he saw an opportunity for a software solution making it easier to identify and target the right market and the best opportunities.

Marie Krestan - Operations Manager

Marie has extensive experience in Information Technology covering business management, software development, product commercialisation, implementation and support.

Marie was a co-founder of Avand and was an integral part of its management team until it was sold to Technology One in 2007. Marie’s principle role was managing software development, but as the company grew she was charged with establishing and developing other areas of the business, namely Professional Services and Customer Support. Marie developed and implemented a quality management system complying with ISO standards.

Deanne Harland - Senior Analyst

Deanne has worked as a Business and Product Analyst for over 15 years and has earned respect from customers for her knowledge and her ability to listen and design innovative solutions to their problems.

Deanne enjoys taking a vision and working with a team to make that vision a reality, from research and development to testing, implementation and support. She has the rare ability to bridge the gap between users and developers, and by challenging both sides to “think outside the box”, facilitates the best project outcome.

Cathy Marshall - Marketing

Cathy is a B2B marketing specialist, with experience in marketing complex products and services. She knows where marketing delivers in the B2B world: integrated sales and marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, and where applicable, partner management.

Cathy works with clients to establish a new marketing function that delivers results, or to bring a more strategic approach to existing marketing. She unites marketing operations with strategy to create an effective marketing engine that attracts new customers and achieves growth.

Cathy works across many different sectors but has a specialisation in high tech, including software, hardware and services.

Janelle Mangan - Marketing

Janelle specialises in business and marketing strategy, competitive positioning and reputation management. She applies the highest level of strategic thinking, while developing effective and compelling tactical responses. She has the proven ability to navigate complexity, bring clarity and creativity, and deliver real results in local and global markets.

Janelle works daily with CEOs and Executive Management Teams to execute business strategy through marketing, stakeholder engagement and corporate communications strategies. She has experience in both B2B and B2C markets across the private, public and not-for profit sectors, and currently works with clients in Australia, New Zealand, United States and the United Kingdom.

Aysegul Kayahan - Strategic Advisor

Aysegul Kayahan is an experienced company director (FAICD) and global mobility professional, with deep experience in sales, marketing and project management across several industries. Aysegul has been investing in startups since 2009 (up to 36 and counting) across a variety of industries and is currently on the board of several startups and NFPs (focusing on developing country activities around food security, female empowerment and energy poverty). Aysegul believes the future success and sustainability of the Australian way of life is dependent on a robust and globally scalable science and technology businesses. As part of her commitment to the startup community, Aysegul is volunteer mentor through the various accelerators located in Brisbane and is a member of the Advance Queensland Ignite and HotdesQ assessment panel and Mentoring for Growth.

Aysegul has a strong commitment to Business Ethics and Social Justice; has a Bachelor of Science (Physics/Maths) and a Graduate Master of Arts (Ethics).


Product Team

Nick Inglis - CTO

Nick is a technologist and visionary always challenging the limitations of current technologies. He is the one called upon to solve problems deemed unsolvable.

Nick was a co-founder and CTO of Avand, a software company that specialised in document and information management.

He has a Bachelor of Computer Science, Honours in Electrical Engineering, Masters in Economics and Finance and is currently undertaking a PhD in Computational Finance. Nick is the supervisor of the Macquarie Trading Room at Bond University and inaugural president of the Australasian Hellenic Educational and Progressive Association Chapter Thoron, a not-for-profit organisation providing grants to local charities.

Mark Jeacocke - System Architect

Mark has over 20 years of experience in software development and design. After graduating with an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering, and a degree in Science, he was a co-founder, senior developer and architect for Avand and instrumental in the design and development of it’s flagship document management system.

In other notable projects, he was the sole architect and developer of CANDi, a program developed for Thiess which was nominated for an Asia Pacific IT&T award and more recently has developed a lane management system used by Vic Roads for their M1 and M80 upgrade projects.
